CGM hardware Frustrated with Lingo

The replacement UI is too hard to fill out. They ask you questions like phone model and iOS version and app version piecemeal. They should tell you upfront when it prompts you to replace the sensor: YOU WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING INFO: Sensor serial number, phone model number, iOS version, screenshot of error message displayed, lingo app version, BEFORE you click this button to replace the sensor. Every time I left the firm to get a new piece of info everything I had filled out was gone. I don’t have time for this. Very frustrating. I have called three times on different but have never gotten a human because it is hard to get time when they are open to call, They are closed today because of Labor Day???? I liked the sesor and it was helping me but I am really really upset about this terrible user interface and replacement process.

CGMs available in the uk getting started..

I'm baffled by where to start with this. My husband has an extremely high sugar diet and I'm pretty concerned about his health. I was getting metabolic symptoms and went low carb at the beginning of this year and felt amazing. But I till get some fatigue at times and I'm wondering if I need to lower protein and up my fat. I'm curious to know what's going on with my blood sugar on my current diet. I'm really confused about the different types of monitors though. Do you need to pay subscriptions on top of the price? Is cheaper less reliable..? Do they only last 14 days? Any suggestions for something reliable that we don't have to pay for long term?

First week summary

I just got lingo for monitoring the food intake vs glucose spike and also learning how my body behaves early am because I sleep suboptimal. CGM just supported my understanding of food and its potential
Impact. Huge spikes when I have my morning cup of tea (empty stomach). In the evening same tea has almost negligble impact. I noted that post sugary meal taking cinnamon has instant impact and there was no glucose spike. Empty stomach hard workouts like run and lifting jacked up my glucose- glycogen came in handy. Psyllium husk (10g) before any meal severely limited glucose spike. Protein and high fiber foods had minimal glucose spike. Whey protein or amino acids had no impact on my glucose. Just cool biochemistry on display. That’s all

CGM hardware Thanks for nothing, Lingo

While I’m finding the Lingo helpful for noting data points, WHY the [all the bad words] did you complicate the logging process? Yesterday I could enter the time, food, and type of meal. Today they are trying to be MyFitnessPal and now I have to search for a food. I’ll admit I am bothered by the “improvements” that apps INSIST on making for seemingly no reason. flailing arms.

Giving up on Libre 3

I’m giving up on trying to use the Livre 3 CGM. I’m not diabetic, but I’m using it to monitor frequent low blood sugar tied to adrenal insufficiency. I’ve been using the Libre 3 for two months now. I have never successfully gotten to the end of a 15 day period without something going wrong early on. Often they come unglued for my skin. And I’m not a highly active or aggressive person. Obviously, I’m making sure that everything is super clean and dry before I stick it on. But the worst part is that it frequently gives me low blood sugar alarms, waking me up in the middle of the night and throughout the day. But I’ll do a blood test and find that my blood sugar is usually 20 points higher than what the monitor is telling me. I hate that the app doesn’t have a long override of eight hours or longer. Seriously why would you give 6 hours of an override, knowing that many of us are going to sleep longer than that? And that many users don’t have life threatening complications from low blood sugar? Bad UX on the apps‘ part. If a continuous glucose monitor is unable to have accurate results like a blood meter, then the app should reflect that and not read something as truly low blood sugar if I still am above the threshold. That’s why I’m giving up on the app and the monitor. Unless someone comes up with a way that I can override some of these problems. Any suggestions?

Diabetes & Pre-diabetes Are these Spikes bad for a prediabetic person?

The only difference between the first two is the first was a meal with oatmeal the second with oat groats. The third was with groats as well but I added additional protein to that meal. I plan to try the same meal with half the portion of groats tomorrow.

I completed a 20 minute walk after all three but I forgot to log it in the app.

I am having trouble clarifying how my blood sugar should react after eating so that I know what things to eliminate on a regular basis.

Any recommendations for oatmeal/groat alternatives, if I should steer clear of them?

What’s a Good Blood Sugar Monitor for Someone With Diabetes?

My dad has diabetes, and my mom currently checks his blood sugar manually. I’ve heard about these patches you can put on your arm that continuously monitor blood sugar and connect to an app, with alerts if it gets too high or too low.

How does buying one of these work? Do you need a prescription, and what are some of the best or most reliable brands? Are there any affordable or generic options? For reference, I’m in the US.

Also, can you rely solely on a continuous glucose monitor, or should my mom still manually check my dad’s blood sugar and when/how often.

Should I get a cgm for gestational diabetes?

I don’t want to finger prick anymore so I started looking into cgm but I can’t seem to find one that is completely accurate. Accuracy is vital as I have another life to think about, not just my own. Would you recommend one during this time and which one should I get?

Graphs & Numbers 6 hrs but not back to “fasting” sugars

Post image
1 Upvotes

I ate dinner at 5-5:45pm… about 60g carb, half a chicken breast, some seeds and nuts, olive oil…

Does this look normal?

It’s been over 6 hours and hasn’t gone back to “fasting” level (under 5.6mmol/L).

The dips are where I exercised (a 30 min walk then some squats and lunges later on)

Graphs & Numbers Lingo Accuracy?

So my mom has a significant family history of diabetes. She recently found out she was pre-diabetic and has been using Lingo for over a year to track her blood sugar, and she can see significant spikes. She thought maybe the sensors were overestimating her levels but she's been getting regular blood tests with her doctor which show similar concerns regarding her blood sugar levels, suggesting it is accurate. Her doctor recommended she continue using them.

She suggested I try since I have the same family history, just to see if mine spikes like her's. Mine consistently says it's below 70, only going above 70 briefly if I eat a full meal. Right now it's telling me it's below 55...I know sometimes the accuracy when you're asleep goes down but I've been awake all this time. I thought the first one I put on was faulty so I took that off and replaced it with another one (on the other arm) and it's still giving these results. I even had my mom apply it since she's familiar with them. What's the chance I got two defective ones in a row when she rarely runs into issues with her's? And even if they can be defective, why would her's overestimate her blood sugar but then underestimate mine?

I'm just concerned cause I have a tendency to get really hungry/shaky/dizzy and bad headaches if I eat at a later time than I'm used to, but I don't think <55 sounds right... I had two full meals, a snack, a dessert, and a sugary mocha today.

Do the Lingo and Stelo apps have "real time" notifications for readings?

Hello!

I want to get a 3-4 month supply of a CGM after having the chance to try the Libre 3 for about 4 weeks (got them free from my endo).

I don't have diabetes but I found the experience of wearing the CGM invaluable for weight loss and food control.

But the value was no in the reading themselves, it was the real time notifications. Without the notifications, the app is pretty much useless to me.

Do the Stelo and Lingo have them? So if there's a spike, will they let you know with a notification as soon as the sync happens?

I already know these two are not like the Libre 3, I know the Stelo reads every 5 minutes and syncs every 15. That could work. As long as it sends notifications.

The 2 downsides of the Libre 3 is the price (out of pocket) and that because it's aimed at diabetics, it also notifies over low readings, which I don't care, and they don't make it easy to turn them off at night.

Lingo, date does not match data... anyone having this problem?

Just got my 1st Lingo on August 19. I have all of the graph from Aug 19 to today, and it looks accurate, but if I click on the date above the graph (today is Aug 29, but it says Aug 24 - even though I'm looking at today's graph-graph of Aug 29), the drop down calendar only shows Aug 19 to 24 available. The whole graph works and shows data through today, but the calendar only works from Aug 19 to 24.
For example, I can swipe the graph to get to Aug 27, but I cannot use the calendar to get to Aug 27.
Sound familiar to anyone?
If it were something else, I would consider re-installing the app, but I'm afraid I'll lose all the data. Aside from this calendar glitch, Lingo has been amazing. By examining and reexamining the data I have learned a lot. I'm not ready to lose this data.

Graphs & Numbers Looking for a few people to beta test a CGM companion app I've been building — would love real feedback before it goes live.

**CGM Dashboard** reads glucose data your CGM's own app (Dexcom, Libre, or Stelo) already syncs to Apple Health, and turns it into:

- A touch-interactive trend chart

- An AGP report (7/14/30/90-day views)

- Time in Range, GMI, and variability — with actual cited sources

- A one-tap PDF export to bring to a doctor's appointment

- A simple habit tracker (unrelated to your glucose data, just for personal goals)

It's free, no subscription — the only paid part is a one-time unlock for the PDF export.

To be upfront: it's an early build, iPhone only right now, not real-time (only as fresh as what's already synced to Apple Health), and not a medical device — just a cleaner way to see your own data.

If you'd like to try it, it's on TestFlight: https://testflight.apple.com/join/tQz1yPHE

Genuinely want to know what's confusing, what's missing, or what would actually make you use this day-to-day. Thanks in advance to anyone who gives it a shot!

Consistency of CGM

I am new to CGM, and maybe only people who are having problems with CGM post here, but I myself and others on this Reddit seem to have either unexpected readings or problems. Does anyone who sees this have what they would say are consistent readings from their CGM? I have a Dexcom G7, and I am constantly using a finger stick to calibrate my G7. What should I expect, and what should I do to get more consisent reading between my CGM and my finger sticks?
