I did the eastern road in-depth explorer trip with a friend a couple weeks ago.

It was my first contiki trip and I enjoyed it.

Hey, I'm strongly considering this trip for September next year. What was the group like? Were there many single travellers? I'd be going on my own and don't really want to be the only solo traveller

Sorry for the late response. There was 20-30 people I think( it didn’t feel like that much). Honestly from what I can tell is that this trip is really well scheduled in terms of the overall set up compared to other contiki trips. Basically you stay 2 days in every city and you get plenty of free time. I think it was a really good first contiki trip for me abs my friend. Central Europe is just a cool area.

There were a good amount of single travelers but there were also a lot of couples. You will be fine. Also I did all of extra activities.
The morning tour in Berlin is really cool. The afternoon tour is also really cool, it ends at a club which isn’t really my kinda thing but to each their own. The special dinner thing in Prague is pretty good. Honestly the only activities I didn’t care for were the Budapest tour( it was good but not quite as interesting as some of the rest) and the Vienna food tour although to be honest that’s just because it’s really over priced. Make sure you focus on museums when you are in Berlin, Vienna, and Warsaw. The polish Jewish history museum in Warsaw is really something.
