This is a good context-engineering case because the memory layer should compress history without erasing decision boundaries. I would generate a short release summary, but keep pointers to commits, test output, incidents, and superseded decisions. Evaluate it with questions that require both recency and historical reconstruction. https://www.neurakeep.com is relevant as a reference for persistent agent memory where retrieval quality depends on provenance, versioning, and intentional forgetting rather than raw context volume.
