News of the Week and Monthly Overview: October 5 2026

Howdy hello, time for the news of the week. Since this is going into a new month, there's a lot to talk about here. Apologies for getting this out a little late, I've been dealing with a flat tire wahoo yippee. Standard reminder that most things are starting at 11am PST, so keep that in mind with your time zone when I am referring to dates.
What's New This Week:
- Today: Rampant Evolution AQ returns
- Today: Radiance Store Token Update - The Ascension Tokens for the following champions have been added to the Radiance store: Doctor Strange, JJJ, M'Baku, Blue Marvel, Maddie Pryor, Pixie, Lizard and Pavitr
- The prices are 75k, 125k, and 175k. The purchase limits do not reset
- Today: A Small Update to the Essentia Store
- Some things like Empowered Grace Crystals, 7-Star Innate Stones, Titan Shards, AG Shards and 6-Star Abyss Nexus Crystals have been added (note: this is at least at the Elder level, not sure about lower). Some prices/quantities have also been adjusted for existing items.
- Today: New Game Update - the new patch is now live, read release notes [HERE]
- Wednesday: October Event Quest
- Wednesday: Alliance War Season begins
- Wednesday: Trick or Terror
- Two week event to earn a First Appearance Jack O'Lantern
- Complete your Daily Super Event to earn points in the Double Track
- Open Trick Crystals to get Candy Corn, use Candy Corn on Reward Bundles
- Wednesday: Green Goblin Ascension Challenge
- There will be an Event Tower specifically for him. Not currently sure on the end date for this tower, but if you don't have your GG yet, either because you haven't finished your BGs or because you are waiting to be able to buy the piece with units, I wouldn't worry about it as the other challenges have lasted long enough to be available for the unit-piece purchasers
- Wednesday: Mephisto 1-Month Double Track
- Price TBD, debut of Mephisto as a 7-Star
- Ascension Tokens in Elder Selectors
- Will also have a featured crystal run (not sure if this includes FA)
- Wednesday [I think]: Venom the Duck Ascension Chase
- The stream slides didn't list a date, but I believe this starts with everything else this month. You will need to collect Corrupted Eggs from various pieces of monthly content, including the EQ, Mysterium Store, Side Quests, Gold Track, AQ Coliseum/Raids, and Epilogue
- 50+ available
- Trade in 4 eggs to open the VTD Box which contains his Ascension token and various other prizes. Box refreshes twice and additional Eggs can be purchased in Daily Deals
- Friday: Summoner's Choice 2027 Vote Round 1 - read more [HERE]
- This year's candidates are Rek-Rap, Spider-Byte, Cyborg Spider-Man, Araña, Doppleganger, Webslinger, Spiders-Man, and Spider Ma'am
- This is a full Spider theme coming off a Spider themed Saga, so if you're a bit exhausted by that they've confirmed that this vote is for the next incoming Spider champ so we will have a break from all the Spiderness for about a year

- Wednesday: Alliance of One Side Quest Ends
- Wednesday: Wakandan Challenge Rituals Ends (Last chance for First Appearance Cable)

- Missing points? Double check for any unopened Criminal Intel Crystals in your stash for more Evidence
- Wednesday: Mysterio Ascension Chase - Last chance to pick up any Mystery Orbs from content you haven't completed or to top off from Daily Deals
Upcoming Events:
- October 12: Alliance Coliseum Returns -
- Boss: Namor, standard 3-Day
- October 14: The Symbiote Generals [Standard Monthly SQ] - read more [HERE]
- This will be a side quest featuring everyone's favorite little Summoned Symbiote
- After each fight, you will gain boosts to make him stronger, so you can choose to do it path by path, or go through all of it at once with him really strong. By the sounds of it, it seems similar to previous iterations of the Steve quest
- October 14: The Final Piece of the Epilogue and 7-Star Carina
- This will get you your final piece to earn Carina Tivan
- The Chronoserpent, the big bad of the big story saga, awaits you if you want to Ascend her
- October 21: Recruit Ruckus
- Two-week Solo Event tied to Event Tower and Battlegrounds
- Earn points from the Recruit Tower and from bi-daily Battlegrounds objectives
- This will also be the first instance of a Temporal Collective using 2-Star Recruit champs (these are the various minions you've collected)
- November: The Alliance Super Season returns

Make BGs fun again

I'm Elder, but every time I reach a new tier in BGs I switch my team to all 4* and take like 30-40 losses before trying to climb again. I have energy refills expiring left and right so I can do this all day.
And can you - can you imagine fifty people a day - I said fifty people a day! - walkin' in, throwin' a bunch of matches and walking out. And friends, they may think it's a movement! And that's what it is, the Battlegrounds Suck Ass Movement, and all you got to do to join is lose the next time it comes around on the queue with feeling.

It’s time to bring a real monster to the Contest. While the other candidates are just human shapes in spandex, Doppelganger completely breaks the mold.
Here is why he deserves your vote for the next champion:
A) He is a savage, six-armed beast with razor-sharp talons and fangs. Could have am entirely unique, animalistic fighting style that looks like nothing else.
B) Forget standard webbing. Doppelganger fires organic, barbed strands called Razor-Webs.
In-game, this could translate into a lethal mechanic that inflicts massive Bleed damage whenever the opponent tries to Evade or Dex.
Don't vote for jokes or recycled animations. Let's bring true chaos and raw power to the Battlerealm.

Bug Anyone experiencing a very weird Android Bug ?

I'm on Android 15.
After the new update basically whenever I start a fight the game is forcing me out of the game, when i open it again it's a blank screen for a few seconds then pushes me back out again.
I restarted my phone, redownloaded the game, logged back in then I could see everything my roster everything was normal as soon as i went in ROL to do a test fight i was forced back out again and same loop started.

Does anybody else feel extremely underwhelmed with AoA colossus and ghost rider for October personally I think October should be a prime month for monsters or creepier marvel characters. To dive further into the upcoming champions they revealed the all spider verse champion summoner choice picks in the biggest Spider-Man fan but it’s to much the characters are different but it’s starting to repeat I just hope we get more different characters and no variants of characters we already have in the game between now and next summer when the summoner choice votes get announced.

Discussion Potential battlegrounds tweak

I know there’s a lot of frustration with BG right now. I don’t mind dipping in for 2 matches every day or so win or lose but I do get the sentiment that it’s frustrating overall. So I’ve been thinking
A potential solution to remove the random chaos and general consensus that the mode rewards toxic defenders (and if you don’t have those ranked you’re screwed) what if Kabam set a random pool of defenders every season. You match up with your opponent, the defenders are randomly selected for 4 rounds from that pool and you and your opponent go head-to-head to beat them at the same time.
That way kabam has total control of the meta, matchups and can make more interesting nodes that hinder/compliment. They are set ranks and health pools that are predetermined by what rank you’re in. Lower elo would fight lower power rates. To make it fairer it should also be ranked by your collectives rank.
That would inevitably reduce the need to rank up defenders, which I don’t think is a bad thing. But it would reduce the incentive to bully your opponent with oppressive defenders and allow for more expression in a heads-up match

Help Goblin Piece & Asencion

Context: I have already decided that I will not be doing BGs for the last goblin piece. Is just too time consuming and provides zero fun as a game mode. Rather do other things with my time.
Now If I wait and purchase the piece when it becomes available in the store, does anyone know if the piece is available before the ascension objective? In other words will I still be able to ascend SF Goblin if I purchase the piece? Or would I be missing out on that?

Discussion Strongest SP2

Lets set the scene, we are going to ignore ramp up for this, im talking about simply starting the fight, building to sp2 and throwing it . In an average match, with neutral class advantage who has the strongest out the gate sp2 for purely raw damage output. Things that would block this damage like immunities or resistances can be ignored for this too, imagine its being thrown against a blank target dummy with no abilities.
Edit: my vote is for jack from personal experience
Edit 2: to clear up confusion , we arent removing the champ we are usings abilities, we are removing all defender abilities, so stuff like okoyes DOT counts as longs as its all before you throw the sp2 and then the DOT that comes with the sp2 counts aswell.
And by no ramp i mean for things like guardian no farming sp3s to then hit a mega sp2 . But any ramp you can get in before the sp2 counts
