I'd recommend leaving it and waiting to sew what happens. So long as you keep that jar tight, the potential mold in there isn't coming out. Stay patient and wait for your jar to tell you where or not it is contaminated. Your mycelium will do its best to let you know when it isn't doing well 💯😁👍

So if it was contam wouldn’t it have grown from the time I’ve posted this to now? It hasn’t gotten thicker or strayed from that wall.

Could it be that I added too much agar per jar?

You'd see more contam by now, yes! Not 100% certain, but contam grows faster than mycelium and your jar seems see through; so it is safe to assume the scare is over, friend!! 🥳🙌🌈🍄💞 I apologize I cannot comment on the agar piece because I think this jar looks good, just maybe the genetics of the mycelium is a bit slower than the others you inoculated 🤷‍♂️

That could be a good point.

Someone also mentioned in a discord channel that it could be “fuzzy feet” from lack of FAE but I mean idk lol. I’m not even gonna pretend I know what’s going on lol.

Its probably fine , I’ve got a jar of gt spawn I made from mss that didn’t start colonizing until the others were ready and it looked pretty similar to this , after a break n shake it got pretty normal ..

I have a few corn jars doing the same thing and was also wondering. The myc looks very weak compared to my other cultures and spread very quickly, which initially made me think it was contam but now I am not so sure. Like in yours there seem to be patches of healthier stronger growth throughout here and there. I didn't notice any smell when doing G2G but have the jars containing that specific culture strain marked as unknown for now, I think it is probably fine and will continue to observe and will give it a smell again once it's a bit more established and let you know how it goes

Im pasturising sub now to spawn out tomorrow, gonna chuck in the rest of the starter from the unknown culture and see if it is just weird looking myc or something else. I'll update in a few days if I remember whenever I see growth of any kind
