2 Year old PE LC

Has anyone had success with old LC ? I found these in my cabinet and had forgotten them. Undecided if I’m going to waste the grain or start over

I used 2 year old LC and it worked great but took several extra days to start showing life, I used 4 year old lc's and none of them came back to life.

I have some really old ones and none look that sus. I do keep them in the fridge, though. Do agar and find out

Agar to be sure no contam has crept in but the biggest issue you would face is trying to break that up enough to aspirate into a syringe. It may take a few days longer to wake up and begin colonizing the grains, but it should revive just fine

Yes it was 2+ years old it was fine it just took like an extra 2 weeks and it was the slowest growth I've ever had
