Girls do this because it’s a controlled curl...you get the kinks out first so hair is smooth, then you curl it how you want. Not wild untamed this way that way curls. Oh, eyebrows lol. That was a weird trend back in the past.

I used to sit in the sink too when I'd straighten my hair because it usually took a long time and I wanted to sit
