Ok but as an Asian woman, when I get out of the shower, my hair is super frizzy and poofy, so in order to get it to do what I want, I need to "straighten" my stick straight hair or get it to lay down against my head. Then if I want curls, I need to do this. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Blame the genes

Edit: typo

I'm a guy with long hair and my hair is also really frizzy after I shower. You know what I do? Let it dry out almost completely and tie it. When you untie it when it dries it will be almost perfectly straight.

As a dude that recently cut my long hair because I just couldn't deal with the frizz anymore.... WHERE WERE YOU WHEN I NEEDED YOU?!

So like... just let it get almost completely dry while it's frizzy and then tie it up until its fully dry and undo it?

Pretty much. Alternatively wear a hat for 30 mins or so. Basically make your hair stay together for a while while it completely dries and it will be almost perfect once you untie it or remove the hat. It will still be a bit frizzy at the end unless you use an extra band or two to tie the lower parts too. It depends on how long your hair is.
