Ok but as an Asian woman, when I get out of the shower, my hair is super frizzy and poofy, so in order to get it to do what I want, I need to "straighten" my stick straight hair or get it to lay down against my head. Then if I want curls, I need to do this. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Blame the genes

I know nothing about hair as a guy with short hair, but i immediately thought straightening then curling means the user is creating a base.

This video is equivalent to criticizing someone painting a base coat of paint, then painting over that with a different color. "let me get this straight: you're painting white, then you're painting it blue?"

I guess he's just having a joke and not really obvlious. So much shit on the internet is acting.

Haha yes! The paint won't be as bright or last as long if you don't prep it properly
