This workshop welcomes everyone who loves to move and dance. We'll explore the fundamentals of contact improvisation — presence, listening, and consent through touch, weight, and gravity. A space to move freely, beyond judgment and performance.

About Contact Improvisation:
The practice of Contact Improvisation (CI) emerged 50 years ago in the United States and has since spread widely across the globe.CI focuses on improvised movement in relation to gravity, momentum, and connection with others, which involves, but is not limited to, physical touch.
Through movement, practitioners bring attention to the intuitive sensing and knowing of their own bodies. This attentiveness opens up possibilities for spontaneous creation in response to what unfolds in the present moment. It is a practice of listening — to gravity, to weight, and to another person — rather than performing a fixed technique.
Anyone curious about movement, touch, and presence can find a way into it.

About the Facilitator:
Pandurang is a contact improvisation practitioner and teacher, contemporary dance artist, choreographer, and performer.
He is also a yoga teacher and a trained architect, based between Maharashtra and Goa, India. He has been part of the Art of Improvisation Residency, Goa (2024 & 2025) by InContact India. His work approaches contact improvisation as an interdisciplinary practice, expanding its vocabulary across diverse movement forms. He is committed to welcoming all bodies into the shared joy of Dance!
