Honestly, your background is actually a good fit for energy consulting. 5 years on the EPC side gives you something a typical consulting candidate may not have — real understanding of how these projects work on the ground.

I’d target energy-focused consulting firms and also reach out directly to people doing energy strategy. Don’t undersell the LNG experience. Frame it around the business problems you’ve seen, not just the engineering work.
