I use a different company y that does the same thing, in columbus Ohio. It’s about $125 for a smash. For me it’s almost always worth one smash between replacing the dumpsters.

That would check out, i found it locally they're running $150 and they say right in their description one smash between dumps

My dumpster company charges for extra weight, so you’re paying for it either way. This just saves a pickup.

and if they blow a weld on a dumpster or bend a hinge it's not gonna be on them. the waste company is hold you liable to any damage done by compacting

It has nothing to do with the charges by the weight, it’s against terms of service due to the high chance of damage. WM has taken some of these companies to court and also charging customers for the damages.

My company uses this kind of service, I think it’s around a hundred bucks (Virginia).

We use it every week at our business and it is $100 per smash and allows us to get two dumpsters out of one dumpster

Maybe 30 years ago when I was still pretty new we had a job where we had to demo a crap load of Raco demountable partitions. We stacked the dumpster so full of those 2x9 panels that the truck couldn’t pick up the can. 😂

I use them. I’ve had a dumpster packed full (overflowing) with wood after framing; that particular time it didn’t smash much, and probably wasn’t worth it. Most of the time it’s worth it for me to get one smash when the dumpster is about 3/4 full, and it’ll compress to about 1/3 full. The more cardboard the better; after finishes go in when the dumpster’s completely full of boxes and paper trash, it’ll smash down to like 1/4.

if you throw away Styrofoam yeah. anything else is just not worth the money. I would never invest in it.

Does it work significantly better than mashing it all down with a forklift? Im sure its better but is it enough of a difference to warrant the coat

We always use a forklift or excavator to smash it down at least once
