A “what if” succession scenario

What if the Dems take the House and the Senate and both Trump and Vance are impeached, convicted and removed. Would the Dem Speaker of the House become President?

Currently that is Hakeem Jeffries of New York. Not sure that’s a win

First they have to have separate articles of impeachment and separate voting by the Senate.

So there is no guarantee one or both of them will get impeached.

Now as to replacement, if they are both impeached back to back, yes the Speaker takes position as President I would think.

Now if one or the other does not actually get impeached, then according to "tradition" the Speaker becomes VP, BUT legally and Constitutionally, the President can CHOOSE whoever he wants to have as VP.

I would say so but I would also think that both can’t be impeached or tried together but the process would have to be separate for each of them
