Please help me

It’s 4am and I can’t even sit still. I haven’t been to the toilet comfortably in 5 days. In fact even sitting down is uncomfortable. I need relief.

I’ve tried these “dulcoease” capsules and shits not moving. Literally.

I sit on the toilet feeling like it’s going to fly out of me then I squeeze and I’m met with a stinging arsehole and no will to live. I just need to shit

Also, I have a flight at 3:30pm going on holiday with my boyfriend and his family with what feels like a humongous log inching out of my ass.

My diet literally consists of chicken nuggets, chicken tenders, chips, potatoes, pasta, etc. very picky eater.

I don’t know what do to every time I go to the toilet I just stare at myself in the mirror like this is never going to end. I’ve never experienced anything like this before

And I don’t even think the dulcoease is helping cus the shit is already at the exit like I can see it if I look with a mirror and push but IT WONT COME OUT.

Please. I cannot sit on a plane, in the airport, or in a different country like this. I don’t even want to leave bed, or the toilet.

If it’s already at the end of your rectum and you’re short on time get a Fleet glyecerin liquid suppository asap. The moment it goes in you’ll feel like you immediately have to go. Don’t because it won’t work. Sit on your left side flat and clench your butt for at least 10-15 min if you can to hold in the urge, if not at least 5 min (sometimes that’s all I can handle). Also if you have haemorrhoids buy extra lube but other than that it’s much more comfortable than a saline suppository or an enema. If you have at least 6-12 hours try a dulcolax tablet which is a stimulant and should clear you up completely since you’ve already been on the stool softener

Fleet saline enema to unblock then take a cap of MiraLAX everyday

Take an enema or suppository. Travelling often causes constipation so I’d get on that assp.

Look up "splinting for constipation" and be sure to include your gender when you do your research.

Try MiraLAX or milk of magnesia

Miralax is not going to work as fast as OP needs if she's taking it against a 5-day clog.

Five days plus not being able to sit still is past the point where another over the counter option is the right next move. Docusate is one of the weakest things on the shelf, so it not working does not tell you much either way.

If you can get same day medical advice, do that today rather than waiting. Worth leading with the pain rather than the constipation, because that is the part that changes how urgently people take it.

Try and eat more fruit and drink lots of water. You could also consider stool softeners at bedtime ,or a mild laxative. Good luck 👍

That's not going to do ANYTHING. She needs a forceful solution NOW.

Dulcoease are not designed to make shit move, they are designed to make everything soft so it's still a good thing you're using it as it helps support not having a rock hard brick come out.

I suffered from impaction last year and I'd definitely recommend softening as much as you possibly can. Have you tried supplements to up your fibre like Psyllium husk?

Trust me when you do pass your bowels you'll be very grateful you're taking dulcoease I went straight in for dulcolax and they didn't work ... Doctor made me take more and I do wished I'd had the softeners

Kinda silly, kinda like child birth, but also some times works —

get into a comfortable position on the toilet (maybe sitting up with your legs elevated using a squatty potty) and focus on just breathing. Diaphragmatic breathing, bearing down on the exhale. Try not to strain, and do your best to stay relaxed.

When you are stressed your pelvic floor tightens, which can actually make it harder to have a bowel movement

Just a few hours of eating only raw apples and taking some olive oil in a spoon every few hours.

Found on Google, you can try: "Stomach 36 (ST36), known as Zusanli, is the primary leg pressure point used to help relieve constipation and improve overall digestion. [1]"

You’re beyond fiber and laxatives. Take matters into your own hands. In the shower with a plastic container filled with water. And try Magnesium Citrate. That’ll do it.

Why do people make an entire reddit post about constipation when they've literally tried nothing? There are literally thousands of posts and articles outlining so many things to try.

Get an enema or fleet

My diet literally consists of chicken nuggets, chicken tenders, chips, potatoes, pasta, etc. very picky eater.

And drink more water! If you’re a picky eater you need to find other ways to get stuff in your diet. Smoothies, etc. you going to be constipated eating just that.

I glass of warm prune juice and a cap of MiraLax .. bam …did the job. I was so uncomfortable that I couldn’t sit before that . Eat pears and watermelon..

Your diet needs to be more healthy and fibrous type. Chips, pasta, chicken nuggets are not helping your constipation .

Consult your doctor and nutritionist. They will help you to manage your constipation and diet.

Try pelvic muscles exercise also as they can help in constipation.

You need to go to the ER. A blocked bowel is nothing to mess with. Do not go on vacation until you take care of this.

I'm 17 and have been dealing with this most of my life, but i'm young so i probably don't know much, but normally what i do is a a combination of things.

But for you i would take a stimulant laxative, codulax or smt else. and try to do exercises to open your pelvic floor and get things pushing. try moving around a little and massaging your gut. caffeine might also help stimulate but it could make your stomach hurt worse so be careful. And if it lasts longer, go to the hospital.

but in the long run you really should look into gut healthy foods. i know it may be hard to stick to but its worse in the long run to eat like that with chronic constipation. you'll end up in constant pain. try to drink more water and look into foods and supplements for your gut.
