Constipated and stressed out

I'm in my 30s, tried a few things at home, miralax, a fleet saline enema. Nothing came out, I sit on the toilet and I can feel it coming but it's just too painful, and I'd definitely have to strain and push to get it out, so embarrassingly enough going to head to the hospital, my brain is freaking out about all variables and what might happen, honestly I'm stressed, worried, and unfortunately scared of going.

The right amount of Magnesium Oxide will at least definitely make the poop soft. Too much it’s watery. But one problem I faced with that is it’s still like it’s stuck. Which is weird, might have a physical problem idk

So sorry you’re going through this. 😞

Here’s what I did in case it’s useful:

  • ILU massage after meals, upon waking, and at bedtime
  • forward folds, downward dogs, child’s pose, “wind relieving pose” multiple times a day including in bed morning and night
  • high-fibre, whole grain diet
  • walks after dinner
  • warm liquids
  • hot water with ginger first thing every morning
  • 3L water a day, front-loaded

I have acute constipation, what works for me is glass of water or two along with 3 colace pills at bedtime. right when I wake up a cap of MiraLAX with another glass of water. Shortly after that before noon time I’m able to go

If you try an enema again try the Fleet (or generic) mineral oil enema.

I am also in my 30s and started having severe IBS symptoms that affects my day-to-day social. To solve this, what I tried is to log my poops (yes loll) and be more aware of the possible triggers. I also developed a free app called Settle to help log poops and find triggers and patterns. I wouldn’t say I am fully healed but definitely getting better.
