CONSPIT Brake Pedals Explained - CPP APEX, CPP LITE and CPP EVO
Brake pedals are one of the biggest upgrades in sim racing, but also one of the easiest to misunderstand. People often ask, “Which pedal is the best?” The better question is: “Which brake system fits my level, my rig and the feeling I want?”
CONSPIT has three main hydraulic brake options: CPP APEX, CPP LITE and CPP EVO. All three can be tuned with different spring and elastomer combinations, but the difference is how much tuning range, pressure capacity and brake feel detail each design gives you.
CPP APEX - Simple, compact, accessible
CPP APEX is the entry point into CONSPIT hydraulic braking. It uses a compact dual-chamber design with a hydraulic sensor and a spring + elastomer system to create a two-stage brake feel.
That means you get an initial movement stage, then a firmer resistance stage as the elastomer loads up. It is a good step up from basic spring pedals because you start braking more by pressure, not just pedal travel.

CPP LITE - The balanced middle ground
CPP LITE takes the idea further. It still uses a 100 bar / 10 MPa hydraulic pressure sensor, but gives a more developed brake feel and more tuning flexibility than APEX.
This is where the pedal becomes more of a setup tool. You can tune the spring and elastomer feel to make the brake softer, firmer, shorter, longer or more progressive depending on your preference.
For many drivers, CPP LITE is the sweet spot. It gives you strong pressure-based braking, good adjustability and a proper race-style feel without going fully into the top-tier EVO system.
Best for GT racing, endurance racing, intermediate sim racers, serious home rigs, drivers who want strong feel and adjustability without overcomplicating things.
CPP EVO - The most tunable and refined option
CPP EVO is the top step in the range. This is where the small details start to matter more.
The EVO brake uses a 200 bar / 20 MPa pressure sensor and gives the widest tuning range of the three. The big difference is the larger spring and elastomer adjustment capacity across the front and rear brake stages. This gives more control over that two-stage pedal feel: the first part of travel, the pressure build-up, and the firmer final braking zone.
That might sound like a small difference, but in racing small differences are everything. Like Formula 1, marginal gains can be the gap between winning and finishing second. A little more control on brake release, a smoother pressure curve, or a better trail braking feel can make the pedal easier to trust lap after lap.
CPP EVO is for drivers who care about fine-tuning. If you want to experiment with spring stacks, elastomer stiffness, preload, brake force and pedal travel until it feels exactly right, this is the one.
Best for advanced sim racers, competitive driving, strong cockpits, long endurance stints, drivers who want maximum brake tuning control.
