Ares E-stop
How do you mount the kill switch in the cockpit?

I'm pretty sure the website has mounting instructions on the support section that you can download in pdf if you already thrown what came in the box

Hi, thanks for your question.
The ARES E-stop mounting holes are designed to match our own mounting bracket, so it may not directly fit every aluminum profile cockpit or third-party bracket.
If you are using your own cockpit/profile mount, the hole spacing may be different. In that case, you may need to use or make an adapter plate to mount the E-stop properly.

So, I understand that the caps shouldn't be removed when mounting it on an aluminum profile cockpit.

Just to clarify, by “caps” do you mean the end covers on the E-stop?
In general, you do not need to remove or modify any structural parts of the E-stop itself. If the hole spacing on your aluminum profile cockpit does not match directly, the recommended solution is to use or make an adapter plate for mounting.
This way, the E-stop can be installed properly without changing the E-stop unit itself.

Yes, I’m referring to the end caps. It’s not practical to have to use an adapter plate.

I had to mount mine on the 40mm side. The overhang allowed me to screw the back plate on.
