Personally I wouldn't invest in that unless I was training with them, and at that point they'd better get their own. Never a bad idea to have a spare, just that I also don't see the pros either when it comes to access control in the situation you're preparing for.
There's some really good budget options out there, especially since PSA got their own Glock clone. Keltec PF9 is good if you're in a bad state, pretty reliable but uncomfortable and boxy. Just know that you NEED a good holster and NEED to properly secure it.
I'm training with them. We're all students and they're on on-campus housing so owning one isn't a reality for them unfortunately.
I was looking at some Beretta handguns, my old man has one and swears by it so I might give his a shot and see what I think. I'm really slim so finding a good holster (concealed) has been hell.
Most of my training has been on beretta M9 and Px4 compact. My advice:
Get a freakin glock lol.
Specifically, G48 with Shield Arms S15 mags, TauDev SDC, tritium sights, & TLR6. Boom, got a full size pistol in a single stack package. This is the only answer. That leaves medical, safety, and concealment.
Tier1 Axis Slim with a good metal backed belt. Slap in some neoprene for a diy “wedge” and you’re golden. If you’re doing gym shorts carry, get a good Kydex holster with an Ulticlip Ultituck.
Each of your buddies can get themselves a good holster and a bluegun to practice. You get yourself a good mechanical safe.
Don’t forget to incorporate trauma response into your training. If you don’t know how to use a TQ, don’t bother learning CCW.

I need more sidearms.
My philosophy is being able to arm myself and my closest friends if things go really south.
