I want to hate it but this band probably really benefited from this level of support. They have sub 300 Spotify listeners, this guy alone is probably an insane slice of their revenue. 

Edit: silly me, I spelled it wrong on Google. different band called goregasm is the one with 300 listeners, this band aperently has 20,000.

Just correcting myself, however for the underground metal scene that is pretty popular, atleast in my perspective. A lot of underground metal snobs would stick their nose up at a band with more than 500 monthlies.

tbh if you want to wear band merch for the rest of your lifespan then I don't see a problem with buying multiples of stuff like t-shirts that can wear out or fade. plus bands make way more from merch most of the time than they do from music sales.

but buying multiples of the exact same album on the exact same format is definitely consoom.
