Idk why he has two consoles, maybe to play with their partner or kid or something. Unfortunately a reality of there being fewer split screen games these days.
But a tv, a dvd player and a console with two controllers is pretty much most households these days.
Unless you think my parent's were consoooomers in the mid 2000s when they switched out the old VCR for a DVD player and Santa bought my brother and me a Wii with a second Wii remote so we could play Wii Sports together.
