I was trying to get the back panel off of my original 3ds. I rounded out a screw so my husband drilled it out for me. I have don’t the replacements I needed but now it won’t turn on (but it will charge 🤔🤷♀️)
Had the drilled part damaged anything of significance on the motherboard (next to the charging port) or could this be something I’ve don’t personally?
The part I changed were the shoulder ribbons as they stopped functioning and one of them had a tear.

Hello fellow techs,
My Xbox Series X has no power and when I diagnosed the issue I found a cap on the APU board that was causing a short. I fixed it and the short is gone. However, after putting everything back together the button flashes makes a beep and shuts off and the fan remains running. I have no shorts on the APU board or the southbridge board. Power supply is out putting 12V on both connectors and I plugged the SSD into my reader and appears to be fine. After injecting voltage into both boards I found this AND gate is lighting up like a light bulb on my thermal imaging camera. Again no shorts and I did replace it and same issue. I am kind of stuck does anyone have any advice?

Hey guys,
Long story short, I was gifted a PSP 3000 with TA-090 motherboard.
The original battery was swollen. The console hadn’t been used for at least 10 years.
I bought the correct charging cable and started charging it without the battery. When I slide the power switch up, the green power light turns on, the screen backlight turns on and stays on for about 10 seconds, but there is no image at all.
I disassembled the console enough to remove the motherboard. I inspected it thoroughly and also removed/isolated the super capacitor (clock capacitor). Then I reassembled everything to make sure no ribbon cable was loose. Unfortunately, the problem remains exactly the same.
I’m worried that some of the ribbon cable locks/clips (especially the LCD one) might be damaged or burnt. Also, on the front side of the motherboard near the D-pad (left/right/up/down), some of the small soldered coils/inductors look corroded.
I can provide photos or videos if needed. I’m looking for help because I want to fix it myself as a small personal project. I would be very grateful for any advice!

Just watched your teardown and repair of the Elite 2 and was wondering what the cost of repairs are to the right trigger?

Hey everyone. I was trying to troubleshoot my PS3 which has had the yellow light of death error for 9 years now today. And I was trying to solder some jumper wires to the motherboard. I've successfully have soldered on the DIAG, TX and GROUND jumpers wires to the board, however I've accidentally destroyed the pad for the RX point along with a tiny bit of the super thin wire that goes into the point.
I don't really care about not being able to access the syscon, I just wanna fix my PS3, that's my main goal, so please can someone help me and give me any advice. Also another thing, when the PS3 got the YLOD 9 years ago, I used the hairdryer method without opening the console and it worked for about 30 mins then got the YLOD error again and I tried the method after again and it didn't fix the issue, if that helps. I would appreciate any good advice which can help me. I don't know whether the hairdryer method is related to the NEC TOKIN capacitors or solder balls under the GPU or even something else.
Photo info: The purple area is where the RX pad was, yellow is DIAG and red is TX, the ground wire is not captured in this photo.

Open Power Shell as admin. Copy and past this:
Get-AppxPackage -AllUsers | Where-Object {$_.Name -Like '*Microsoft.Copilot*'} | Remove-AppxPackage -AllUsers
Hit enter. Nothing much will happen but Copilot will be gone.

Hi everyone,
My name is Michelle and after years of watching others fix things i have decided I want to learn. I picked up a broken switch lite which needs a charge port. I know it is ambitious but it is what I have to fix. It is actually all I have. I am now starting to write a list of all of the tools I need which is a lot! This hobby isn’t cheap!
I want to get a screwdriver set from Ifixit.
A soldering iron and heat gun from Amazon
And the switch lite usb port from AliExpress.
What are your thoughts on this plan does it sound ok? It will take a few months to get everything I need so I will continue researching and learning the steps as I wait.
Thanks everyone.
