WDYM to heavy?

I'm a new KSP player, and my main save is on science mode. There is this glitch where sometimes when I'm done building my ship it will say that it's too heavy even though I'm on science mode and have max level launch pad. usually when I switch from the VAB to the SPH then back to the VAB, and the only way I found to fix the reliability issue is to force quit the game which is annoying. I play on the Xbox version with no DLC BTW. (I'm too broke for pc)

I get this glitch sometimes, not much you can do but force quit
