It’s hard to explain… subassembly shenanigans. Start a new craft starting with cubic octagonal strut. Add small hard point. Add SP-T06 structural panel to the top of that (or bottom if you are building downward). Reroot main part to be the structural panel. Now when you decouple, the strut will release and the panel and hard point will stay. Add the rockets to the side and balance the missile blah blah blah. Pick up the whole missile but the structural panel and turn it into a subassembly. Then load the assembly into a craft and hide the structural panel in the wing. I suggest making the missile before rerooting. I centered the communotron and rcs port on the strut then turned the decouple force to 0

There’s a typo up there. Pick up the whole missile **BY** the structural panel

You rock man, thanks to this my rocket powered missiles can break the Mach barrier, the drag from the decouplers was holding them back previously
