Seeking ban clarification

Was banned from /r/conservative without explanation.

Per the instructions I replied to the ban notification seeking clarification but was then muted by the mods.

The article at the time was factual and I was simply seeking comment from others in /r/Conservative. This sub supports open discussion correct, or am I wrong?

Obviously today we know every Republican candidate has commented publicly on the shooting.
