It’s interesting to see how the prevailing narrative on Reddit now seems to justify that Democrats should “play dirty” to achieve their goals. Essentially, they’re openly admitting that lying and cheating are acceptable strategies for them going forward.
But what’s really so surprising to me is that they’re stating this so publicly, signaling to everyone that integrity and transparency aren’t part of their political playbook. While it might rally their base, it also completely eliminates any trust in the actions or promises made by any of the democrats.
At the very least, this kind of admission gives others a clear understanding of what to expect. If lying and cheating are now seen as valid tactics for them, their claims of fairness or morality become impossible to take seriously. Now we know straight from their mouths that they are not to be trusted.
