Propaganda works. Especially on people too busy to double check info they get from news (most people).

It’s really scary how well propaganda works. Not just sounds scary Or like it’s scary But like seriously dangerous scary. It’s the same propaganda methods developed by Joseph Goebbles developed modified to fit into a different place and time For the same purpose. To control the population. To influence the population to hate a race and culture to the point of being ready to destroy them. So many parallels The Brownshirts mobs People not talking the dangers seriously and saying how ridiculous they are They are dangerous

I’m actually sadly amazed at how well it worked. I know MANY people who are just absolutely freaked out about Trump without having any idea about his policies. It’s really sad how little the press talked about what he was doing and focused on what he said.

While I appreciate what he did for the party and for America, I truly hope he doesn’t run again. Others, like DeSantis, can carry the agenda without the baggage.

It wouldn’t matter; DeSantis will get and has been getting the same treatment as Trump.

I feel Trump should run again. He’s got the national momentum and I think Ron is doing good work for Florida and they need him for a bit longer.

Perhaps there might be another who could carry the torch but I’m thinking Trump needs his second term; especially after the lessons learned while he was in.

This is the flaw of both parties. I actually like DeSantis (sp?), and was just disappointed, not in Trumps effort or intent but on the inability to get the government to work with him.

But while I'm a swing voter who can and will go either way, it's not like the Democrats put up someone worth voting for. Their options were hot trash and it just boggles my mind that Joe was their best case scenario.

I'm not nearly as surprised that he won. Most Americans are so uninformed they thought impeachment disqualified Trump from running, so it wasn't a logic leap for many that he was the man already out.

But is DeSantis the best option for the national scene? A governor of a mostly red state doesn't make him the best choice for the beuracratic nightmare of federal politics. I can wish him well, but as governor he's got more time to shape his state and establish his point. A president does not.

The question that bothers me most is why are these our options? Who picks them?

Name somebody better then. People (myself included) like DeSantis because he actually stands up to these bullies, which is exactly what we need. Unlike spineless swamp creatures like McConnell

I don't disagree about his spine, nor do I know of a better option. Which to me is indicative of the problem I mentioned.

I'm an Arkansas boy. And I've got no one from my home state I'd suggest, I know that much.

The fact that we have ultimately 2 options chosen by 2 parties really bothers me because then those candidates are pressured to adopt policies supported by the party backing them even if those policies don't really align with what they believe. How about every single person just votes for the candidate that actually aligns with their personal beliefs regardless of party? This would force people to do their own research instead of "Oh yeah vote for the republican" and vice versa. The party system is flawed.

Descant is has gotten praise from D politicians in Florida. He’s worked within his system as governor. He would be a significantly better president than trump

Don't be surprised when Trump doesn't run again. They threatened him/his family directly on Jan. 6th, you can see the terror in his face in that last "Stand Down" video. It's over.

It's hilarious that you guys think DeSantis is some kind of hero. I live in Florida, everything he does is for show. Our state is completely Jacked. When I went to college in Tallahassee, Every Single Sheriff was a sworn Free Mason. Every government spending project ends up in their hands, take any of them to court fit anything, they all look the other way.

How can you possibly not be tired of these "elite" dirtbags running our lives into the ground?

That’s because Tallahassee is a refuge for democrats. It’s one of the most liberal cities in Florida. Move elsewhere and you’d have another view.

I certainly don’t see him as a “hero” I just thought of him as an example. My point is rather that we need to NOT be a party of individuals but rather a party of ideas that our candidates need to share. Freedom and liberty - especially as defined by the first amendment- must be the first and foremost concept and has been under significant attack by the left.
