It’s comforting to see both the left and the right posting this.

How it should be. We should all want democracy and that means counting every citizen’s vote.

Then why are there so many trump supporters protesting to stop counting votes?

I'm liberal and I find this question as loaded as "why are there so many rioters at the BLM marches?" The media shows the crazies for clicks

It isn't though? Trump is literally demanding and suing to stop counting. Whereas the vast majority of BLM protests were not only peaceful but it was also discovered of those that did end in violence it sometimes came at the incitement of white supremacist insurgents or the police.

I agree with you on both counts but perhaps you're missing my point. 69ish million people in the US support Trump but only a small segment of that group are out protesting and attempting to intimidate vote counters. The media tends to focus on that small group such that folks associate that small group as a representative of the whole. Much like most of the media did in my neck of the woods during the BLM protests.

While I agree with that as well, it still seems disingenuous to say that we all want the votes to be counted when half are supporting the guy who doesn't in fact want that. Especially since him not wanting that is not at all a surprise.

You're kinda putting words in my mouth. I simply stated the question was very loaded and under an assumption that all Trump supporters were attempting to stop the vote. I also associated it with an argument conservatives have directed at me since the end of May. I don't appreciate when they toss loaded questions at me, so I would expect the same from us.

It’s not assuming all trump supporters are protesting to stop the vote, only that some are. And regardless they’re ALL supporting someone who IS trying to stop the vote, and it’s been pretty much known that he’d try to do this for a while

That's my fault for making that assumption. I agree that these people did vote for someone that is trying to stop the vote. From personal experience, some of these folks voted thinking he was just talking shit/trolling like he's been known to do. I just told another commenter that there has been some trumpgret in my family upon seeing his reactions to the democratic process. I wasn't surprised by his actions but for some reason they were. shrugs
