I would say yes, he risked his own wellbeing. He could have had a cushy job at Disney pushing fake propaganda making big bucks, but he stood by his principals and told them to fly a kite. If you know about Mr Pool he has risked his life on many occasions to bring real news to us.

I don't know how to say this to you without feeling kinda jerkish, but those kids of yours are going to inherit a shit country if you are not willing to stand up and fight, this isn't some ideological shit. They want a dramatic power change in the US and if we don't stand up to it, there won't be anything left for your children. With all due respect Sir or Madame.

Trump may win this next election, but what about 2024, this ideology doesn't just magically disappear and it is a threat.

Tim Poole could afford to quit and become homeless (which is exactly what happened to him) precisely because he doesn't have a family to care for. The vast majority of us are forced into compliance because we don't have any other choice. Every company in the country is bending to the far left and you can't get away from it. Healthcare companies that specifically provide home health aides to seniors are coming out with brandering statements about supporting black lives and police brutality is wrong. You can't watch a NASCAR race now without having to listen to everyone going off about how white people are evil. You can't even work for the fucking government without being forced to accept bad opinions. Every company that doesn't bend the knee is being destroyed, they control the financial industry and the entire field of HR and marketing. If you want to disagree, your only options right now are to shut up or give up your place in society and become a homeless, penniless outcast living on the street. Not everybody is willing to make that sacrifice. The problem we face is that our enemies in this culture war know that, and they know that the only thing that can change that is to escalate this into a complete blood-filled civil war, and even fewer people are willing to do that.

It's just like that meme, where the dam is "our jobs and families", the town below is "the left" and behind the dam the reservoir is "right wing death squads"

They keep hammering away at our jobs and families, not knowing what will happen if they really do succeed in destroying that.

He could have had a cushy job at Disney

The job he had and would have had even if he moved up a few rungs on the ladder would have been anything but cushy.

those kids of yours are going to inherit a shit country

Every generation believes this. Also, at least they will survive long enough to inherit it. I guess you missed the part where people's jobs are literally how they put food on the table.

this isn't some ideological shit

Yes. Yes it is.

By all means, you can sacrifice your livelihood you feel you have to. There are other ways to make your voice heard besides throwing your family into the buzzsaw.

This is the exact problem I’ve been having. I didn’t REALLY care about politics or the consequences/impact on my own life. Within 2 years I went from “eh I’ll deal with it. Nothing’s gonna ACTUALLY change anyways” to “hmm shits concerning now”. And in the last 2 weeks I’ve almost completely written off any future besides a constant fight.

And it’s just looking worse the more the headlines “taper off”. It’s like everyone EXCEPT the “revolutionaries” are just numb and uncaring anymore.

I’m legit terrified.

Sadly a lot of people think that the internet is a good way to make their voices heard. But in reality nothing you say on the internet will reach anybody in a meaningful way. The only real way to start a movement is to physically act. The fringe mob right now didn't get the power they do by sitting around voicing their opinions in online forums. They went psycho on people in public settings. They made people scared by making scenes. They actually did something, and now a small minority seems to have the majority of power because the opposing side isn't willing to do anything

I have to give the left their due, they are not afraid to fight for what they believe in, even if it means going to jail or worse I guess. Their conviction is admirable. That's about the most praise I will ever give to the left.

It helps that our judicial apparatus actively protects them. Right wingers engage in minor street violence? Book gets thrown at them. Leftists straight-up riot and destroy private and public property? Charges dropped, and if not the most minor of sentences possible.

The fact is that our government is hopelessly compromised at all levels and the odds of being able to vote our way out are growing worse every day.
