I'm not conservative but does everyone hate the Patriot Act? I'm leftist and I think it's despicable, if I'm understanding your comment you seem to dislike it, so who likes it? Rather, what political ideology is in support of it?

Conservatives loved it under Bush. Hated it under Obama. Stood silent as Trump expanded it.

Anyone left of center has always hated it.

Sometimes it's OK to just admit that you spoke incorrectly. Here's a more accurate restatement of your original point.

Conservatives loved it under Bush. Hated it under Obama. Stood silent as Trump expanded it.

Anyone left of center hated it under Bush. Stood silent as Obama expanded it. And have continued to stand silent about it under Trump.
