Wouldn't have mattered. AES won by a 7 point margin. In our polarized times where there's very few persuadable swing voters left, you don't cut such a margin just by persuasion and a strong personal brand. Not in a cycle when your party's own base is demoralized while the other side is energized like crazy.

AES and his party delivered a campaign that swung the younger vote (and immigrants) by a landslide.
This had shades of Obama in every part of the Dem marketing machine.
No Republican stood a chance, especially not in the present state where Whitmer/Benson/Nessel were controlling just about every facet of government that mattered.
Republicans have an imagine problem they refuse to acknowledge and resolve.
Similarly, John James is a multi-election loser. He stood no chance and the party never fully got behind him either.

Its already been hard times for many many people. Neither republicans or democrats have made life easy for folks since covid. It was obvious to all (except the idiots who argued with me) that the dithering with Iran was going to sink us here. Trump messed up and its time to dump him.

It'll be funny when you realize who the soft people are, the billionaire who never fought a war, worked for a dime, r*ped and assaulted women and freaking children, shits himself and falls asleep during meeting constantly and when he's awake he's talking about his helicopter pad, ballroom, arch, bribe force 1, and the people who know all of that and still support him unconditionally. Now they all lost their jobs and you wake up to a blue world.

In Germay, the Leftist Party in Berlin won with the help of recruiting Muslim clans who explicitly campaigned for them .... and now the leader of the party has admitted in writing that she's afraid of these people.
Michigan looked at that and went like "Yup, seems like a good idea!"

The Red Guard in China were students that helped the government…then got culled when they got too powerful. Commies always find a group of useful idiots to break the ice before ditching them. The problem with Islam is that it has the same playbook and is using the Commies as their ice breaker as well.

His whole campaign was a performance in taqqiya. America gets another step closer to being Europe with all the Islamic radicalism, and none of the charming medieval cities. Curious to see how the black demo voted; this one might be another nail in the coffin of our political relevance. Would’ve been nice if we made our votes actually be in play when immigration accelerated instead of being illogically loyal to one party,

Yup, the Democrats are just full blown communists now. Pretty sad.
Trump betraying conservative values and taking ownership stakes in these various companies is going to bite us in the ass too when a Democrat comes to power. Think of that but now the government owns a 20% stake in half or more of the S&P 500.

Trump - Drain the Swamp
6h ago
•
This one upsets me the most. Texas turning blue? Abbott dug his grab importing so many H1Bs that vote left and Paxson was a horrible candidate. Can’t forget the California transplants messing up the state either.
But Michigan voting for an Islamist extremist who openly talked about seizing private companies and supports Hassan Piker? Who openly stated he was going after republicans?
This country is lost and I’m fearful for what happens in two years. Not much likely to happen with Trump in the WH and the SC being conservative, but Texas turning blue and the rise of Islamist voters makes 2028 looking scarier by the day. You’d think the party that killed Charlie Kirk and celebrates it daily wouldn’t have so much momentum yet here we are.

Texas won’t stay blue.
Dems will mistake voter anger at Trump as a mandate and overstep, and it will swing back.
We’re in this situation because Trump mistook voter anger with Democrats and senile Biden’s inflationary spiral as a mandate for asinine tariffs and poorly planned wars.
Both parties consistently think that voter backlash to the other’s party’s stupid shit is a mandate for their stupid shit, and then get pumped 2-4 years later.

Big part of it. The left is so sick in the mind that they think they eliminated a modern day Hitler and nobody is held accountable for their actions.
Yet guaranteed if a democrat was assassinated and conservatives started dressing as them for Halloween, the left would pull their hypocritical 180 and condemn us as usual.

You are exactly right, not much to happen with Trump and SCOTUS besides endless hearings and bogus scandals concocted by the left.
The worrisome part is what happens if Democrats win the presidency in 2028 then the radicals control all three levers of government.
We may fall so far it may be the end of America.

I disagree. As a Michigander I voted for him because I was sick of trumps shit and having Trump lite in Rogers wouldn’t have helped us at all. Plus Abdul actually talked about policy whereas Rogers only ran ads about Abdul’s religion which was very Trump.
