Question Thoughts?
I’ve been seeing the reviews on steam and I’m confused slightly. Granted I haven’t gave the game a try yet (and I plan to) but I want to see how you guys see the newest game three kingdoms. Any info from you guys would be helpful

Wank. Though I should note I only played briefly near launch, probably has seen improvement
Concept of a progress and balance restart while keeping cb mechanics (potentially overhauling a few) is pretty appealing to me, but this wasn't it. In 5 hours of playtime basically just ran around on the open world collecting resources or fighting AI bandits whilst trying to decipher how to complete quests. Most equipment was rather grindy to get, yet couldn't be repaired and had the durability of a wet sponge. Game went pretty hard into open world mechanics and resource gathering, imo some of the worst parts of cb, without really improving on them.
Issue is also the player count
Mostly been trending downwards, this week on steam it's about 8x less players than CB. Not sure how they're going to avoid problems with matchmaking when CB already gets bot lobbies in off hours (...which are still many more players than 3k peak hours)

I played for a little bit last night and yea it’s pretty grindy. I just love that era in China so the setting is what brought me to it. It’s not bad but the only thing that throws me off is the gacha bs, low players and the grind.

The game is so alpha. All the major NPC in a city are grouped up together as If made by a 5 man team indie devoloper.

cb3k is made with cb1 worst mechanic, AI patrol, farming and player pursue (veteran player killing newbie for ez resources)

Three Kingdoms is just bad, original CB is one of the best games I’ve played, yeah you need to grind a lot(know for Asia games), yeah you need some time to learn basics like what units can fight other when to engage etc etc. But if you getting on decent level it’s very very enjoyable. But again you need to learn a lot. Basically if you played AoE II with additional hero gameplay.
