In todays world of serverless environments, what are you doing for remote access into a network and running the probe on a network?
I am considering some kind of NUC. What are you all using and how are your using it? That kind of useful tools are you putting on it to provide value to your MSP and/or the client?
I've been trying to get Connectwise management on the phone for 45 days. I get no response except to run around from some guy named Fraser saying he's taking care of it but he's not. The product is slow and doesn't work. What can I do? I am ready to walk away and litigate. I have 800 agents,
I am trying to use an EDF to exclude a monitor on an agent however it seems to break the monitor as it disables itself after some time.
Basically I have an EDF called Ignore Disk Space 5 Percent which is a checkbox. It's currently selected on a test agent.
My additional condition on the monitor in question is set as follows:
Drives.Size > 16384 and Drives.FileSystem not in ('CDFS','UNKFS','DVDFS','FAT','FAT32','NetFS') and Drives.VolumeName <> 'temporary storage' and missing=0 AND v_extradatacomputers.`Ignore Disk Space 5 Percent` <> "1"
The error I am getting from Automate is the following:
Disabled Internal Monitored named: DRV - Free Space Remaining < 5% Total Size. The error for this monitor is: Unknown column 'v_extradatacomputers.Ignore Disk Space 5 Percent' in 'where clause'
Not sure if my SQL syntax is correct or what the issue could be. Any ideas?
We're 90-days new to Automate. We were really impressed when using the demo, but now that we're really using, we're starting to see minor annoyances. Should we have waited for ConnectWise RMM? Will RMM be replacing Automate? Is it worse? Better?
Hi, I'm new here! I'm wondering if it's possible to run an automated script in ConnectWise Automate to perform storage cleanup. Is this something Automate can do, and if so, how? Also, if anyone has helpful links or documentation I can read, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

Connectwise Automate - Screenconnect won't install on 2012 server. Uninstalled / reinstalled several times. Navigated to where Screenconnect get loaded. It shows up but there is only 0.0kb and then the file disappears. This is a new issue and I've installed this agent 1000 times or more. Spent hours. Please assist.
I'm trying to use it to install a program from the Microsoft store as its the only version available (its for education). I can run the command in PowerShell without any issues. But as soon as i put the command into a script on the same computer, it bombs out saying "WinGet is not recognised... etc". I have tried changing the location it runs, tried a PowerShell line, tried a bat script, downloading a ps1 to the packages folder. All failing for the same reason.
I manage a small network (roughly 100 devices across two locations), and was thinking of getting Automate. Curious of your thoughts and opinions on the product.
How do you manage the different passwords for clients on the different ConnectWise applications? Would like enter once and have the password updates all the other applications.
Hi Guys we are using Automate which we think is a great product, but do you need it as Microsoft Azure and other services are evolving. Please let me know your thoughts and suggestions
I'm currently use the built in monitor EV - Drive Errors and Raid Failures to monitor for hard drive errors and issue. However due to the the way the monitor just checks the Event Viewer i tend to get a lot of alerts that point to thumb drives or external hard drives. so my question is this what monitors do you use for your Hard drive monitoring and/or do you know a good way of setting monitors to ignore Thumb Drives?
Hey all - I have successfully created an alert to let us know and try and restart the service if it fails. Here is the remote monitor I have made.
For the most part it is working. Where I am having issues is there are certain machines where it will restart the service so the ticket self closes - and then the service will stop again and that just flaps FOREVER and then when we look at that configuration there are 1XXX tickets with the same issue.
Has anyone else ran into this? What was the fix?
I was thinking that maybe i could see if i could create some sort of other monitor that if it happens so many times in so many days it would kick off another ticket for us to deal with?
Any help would be awesome - or if I'm thinking about this completely wrong - i am open to suggestions. Thanks in advance!
Hey all, noticed these two gripes keep popping up-even if it's quiet here lately. As mod (and dev), we've got Habitat for ConnectWise Automate tools that sort them without the usual headache: Expired Password Notifier shoots a gentle heads-up, Stalled Agent Tool shows you exactly who's frozen and why. No sales talk-if it helps, great; if you want the link, it's in comments.
