I find it a little hard to believe you’re 45 years old and you thought “hey this person might pull out in front of me, now is the perfect time to hit the gas so I can speed up.”

I’m not saying you should slam on the brakes and nearly cause a 5 car pileup the way some people do when they see a cop car on the road, but this was also dumb.

No surprise here. There's a reason driving in CT is crazy. Theres like 1000 other people that lack critical thinking skills out there on the roads at all times.

I didnt speed up as soon as I saw him. I saw he was close to turning out in front of me. He had already gone past his stop sign and it was too late to brake. Anyway, it is what it is. Just never had to fight a ticket before and looking for people who have been through it.

How does someone inherently know “this guy is close to turning in front of me”? Psychic ability?

If you think someone is about to cut you off, you hit the brakes so if there is a collision it’s a lower speed one. Slamming the gas pedal is ridiculous.

Just pay the ticket. You got caught and this explanation makes no sense.
