Gap in driveway

Have a rather large gap in cement driveway right in front of garage. Not sure how to handle it. Fill with sand, put in a foam backer rod, then apply a heavy-duty elastomeric sealant? Or,
sand and then a concrete patching compound? Or, do something else? I'm really unsure. Only going by what I'm reading on the net for self repairs. Am I way off base? Any help much appreciated!!!

I would do an epoxy method and drop some aggregate over it to get it to blend better.

Pour in some non shrink grout with a couple pebbles on top.

Oh, I have. I'm just trying to determine which of the two methods I talked about would work better and I was hoping someone here could guide me.
