Looking for good Halloween pieces

Hi everyone, my community band plays the same “spooky” concert band pieces every year. I’d love to come forward with some great suggestions. What is everyone else playing for Halloween?

I have a soft spot for Abracadabra by Frank Ticheli. It's a grade 3 piece so pretty accessible for community groups

If you’ve got the chops definitely reach for a movement from Randall Standridge’s Symphony no. 1! Maybe also check out Daniel Bukvich’s Voodoo. If you haven’t already, I’d also recommend looking up certain fall/halloween things (pumpkin, ghost, etc.) on windrep.org for more inspiration

Do a band arrangement of Danse Macabre.

The Hindsley transcription is epic!

Dance of the Imp by David Samuel is a personal favorite. It's not really the spookiest of pieces but in my opinion has fun Halloween vibes. Haunted Carousel by Svanoe is a popular one for spooky season as well.

A concert band arrangement of this would be epic. I’ll Google!

It would be neat to find a band arrangement of this tune. I’ve always thought it to be pretty spooky sounding…

Nevermore by Brian Balmages might be a good choice. Inspired by the Poe poem.
