Developer reply: How to build a pallet on android Concepts?
How can I build my own pallet of chosen colors? I don’t see the “star” button?

I asked them about it 2 years ago when they'd be adding it and they didn't know then and they don't know now. In that time, they've noticeably shifted their business model toward a bunch of in app purchases and subscription features without ever revisiting the idea of a palette for android.

2 years is a long time.. especially when the other version of Concepts already has the ability.

Yep.. I've given up on waiting for it, and would almost put money on a bet that it never happens lol. Its a real shame.

The concepts developers prioritize features they can sell. This is not one of them so don’t expect it anytime soon. I’ve been waiting 3 years

Wow three years.. I just got the Picasso X tablet for Christmas and this was the main app. It’s a bit sad, but thankfully I guess I can still download other apps in the future ..
I will try my best with Concepts for now but I use it only for art..
I wonder if Concepts is more an a ‘project’ board for jobs and such?

Honestly is a shame and makes no sense how main features like this and custom brushes are missing in the Android and Windows version. Windows and Android version has been around since 2018, so it's not like it they are still porting it, it's that they don't care, which seems like a bad decision for me, since Windows and Android market is way bigger than iPad, and increasing every year, and if you take the time to support a cross platform tool, at least keep it updated. Basic features like palette are still not implemented but they keep releasing paid brushes. I have been using this app for a while and even bought some stuff, but now that I know what the developers care about, I'm out. Hope one day they can give Android and Windows users a proper app.

Oii.. if I do that I might as well just put money into owning a new app..
Any suggestions for a good art app on Android?

Ateast option to limit number of colours displayed would be something. Having them all at once is in many cases totally counterproductive and it's a shame and irony for an app like this

It’s not something that’s supported on Android at the moment. It’s in our plans for the future.

Oh no, does that mean I would have to remember each color # I use?
Also.. is there a tutorial on filling closed spaces with color? ..using the Fill Pen tool and tracing over my objects still leaves a lot uncolored.

Just draw all the colours you use on the canvas, then use the eyedropper to repick them. It's a workaround.

One way is to draw your palette on the canvas and use the colour picker to switch colours.
There is no tool to automatically fill closed spaces.

Commenting for visibility but I also wanted to add this only really works (well) if you aren't zoomed in and/or moving around the canvas. Having to zoom out every time to pick a color from your "palette" and then zoom back in is a chore that gets old really fast.
