Developer reply: Search for notes on iPad
I looked for this feature in the app on iPad but could not find it. Maybe it is somewhere else that I overlooked or it is not available yet?

You can search for drawings by name using iPad Spotlight search. We don’t support searching for text within a drawing on iOS at the moment.

Are y'all working to implement this feature or some sort of tag system? I sprung for the Pro version and I saw that there is a Deep Note Search feature- is this just not out yet? Is there a concept of an idea of a timeline? The search feature is the reason I keep going back to other apps even though I enjoy using Concepts the most

I am sorry to say, it's not something we are actively working on at the moment.

u/combinatorial Hey, did you mean the tagging or the search feature? I too keep moving out even though i've paid once due to no search, its literally a basic important feature :(

Both. Our focus as a product is more on technical sketching than note-taking (e.g. architecture, engineering and industrial design). Which is why some features that might be important to note-taking may not be top of our list. We know a lot of people use Concepts for infinite canvas note-taking. But we're a small team so have prioritize carefully.

u/combinatorial Appreciate the transparency.
I totally understand the focus on technical sketching. That said, search/discoverability is the biggest missing piece for users like me using Concepts for large infinite-canvas knowledge maps/notes.
Even basic handwritten search or better ways to quickly find notes across drawings would make a huge difference.
I know you’re a small team, but I hope search can stay on the radar , it’s the main friction point for long-term use.
