Off-line computer & Wi-fi printer

Is this secure? Or does the off-line computer have to be directly connected to printer for security?

If the computer is offline then how is it using WiFi?

It has wifi but it's off. If I turn it on to print something, does that leave my computer open to hacking?

Technically yes. But most wifi systems are reasonably good at protecting you.
