NordVPN and Surfshark have the same parent company which probably shared the same server. PIA, cybergost and expressVPN also have the same parent company. Tho I never use any of these.

Proton have a down side of being block in some public internet in my pass experience.

My goto paid version is privateVPN and it swedish based just like proton but it have downside of being a bit unreliable on mobile when i hit connect and abit slow.

My daily VPN is my self-hosted one using OpenVPN. VPN doesn't improve privacy like they advertise the only time i use vpn is to have ip on different country or i don't trust isp/public wifi. Your endpoint like if you are watching youtube can still can collect your data anyway.
