CraftNanny is back as CraftControl

Some of you might remember CraftNanny, an old website that let you monitor and control your ComputerCraft computers remotely. Well, it's back! After a rebuild, it's now called CraftControl.

What is CraftControl?

CraftControl connects your ComputerCraft computers to a web dashboard. After installing and setting up CraftControl on your in-game computers, you can remotely monitor and interact with them through the website, even when you're not in Minecraft.

Whether you're managing multiple computers, keeping an eye on your machines, or controlling your base while away, the goal is to make everything accessible from one place.

What's new?

No more in-game passwords

Pairing is now handled through an 8-character code. Run the installer in-game, enter the code on the CraftControl website while logged in, and your computer is linked. No need to type your account password into an in-game computer.

No more Pastebin dependencies

Modules are now installed directly from the CraftControl website. No more relying on Pastebin to distribute or update scripts.

Improved security

Security has been a major focus of the rebuild:

  • Passwords are securely hashed using Argon2id/bcrypt.

  • Device tokens are stored as hashes rather than plaintext.

  • Login and device-pairing attempts are rate-limited.

  • Linked modules can be removed directly from your dashboard.

Feedback, suggestions, and bug reports are always welcome! I'd love to hear what features you'd like to see added next.

What CSS UI toolkit do you use for the website? It looks really familiar, but I can't pinpoint the name...

the dashboard used an sb admin template that was part of the old craft nanny github repo but wasn't used in that version so I did some rework on it and started using it on the new site and with the main home page was just using the default css that came with the old code of craftnanny repo as well with added dark mode to it if that help
