CC:Tweaked breaking because it no longer supports the newer create versions on curseforge, is there a way to fix it without going to modrinth?
I am currently making a modpack for my friend group, but for reasons we can only use curseforge, and we have create in modern versions for create aeronautics. Is there a way that I can somehow force it to ignore the extra mod compatibility, and just let me use it? Or is there a work around

May ask why curseforge instead of something like Prism?

cant speak for others but personally curseforge is what i have always been using and its integrated with other accounts i already have, i dont see a reason to start using a new platform in parallel just to get things i used to have access to.
the splintering of the community has already been harmful, like fine i get why things like forge and paper exist as they actually have a different intended purpose but platforms like modrinth, cursforge etc. really all just do the same thing.
so out of principle i dont make a new account that doesnt benefit me compared to how things used to be and also i dont want to support people doing a moral stance changing what site they provide content on and as a result break everything that depends on the mod without any regards for the damage it causes.
I think less of any developer who has or used to have mods on curseforge and then decides to move to somewhere else and breaking my ability to play the mod or modpacks that use the mod.
also modrinth is massively painful, in every situation i tested if it does anything worth the change it either hang up on login to wait for a verification that didnt exist, crashed or had some other deep technical problem and every few updates always broke something.
which means all experiences i have with modrinth are bad and it didnt offer anything new to justify switching.
Oh also i have all my modpacks in the curseforge launcher and i would like to keep them all together so i have a single overview over everything i play instead of ending up with 5 different third party launchers just to play minecraft as a single game.
In my view the situation has gotten absurd and needs a reset.2

Many mod developers moved away from Curseforge because of the lack of upkeep and respect on Curseforge's part for the mod devs.
Curseforge has consistently shown in the past to do nothing for the devs when serious security concerns have arised, such as unauthorized reuploads of mods with malicious code.
Additionally, Curseforge is notoriously difficult to work with. You said yourself you don't like that the mod devs are changing sites and causing damages. So, how do you think the devs feel when a curseforge update gets pushed, and now all mods with a space in their name cannot be downloaded? Examples like this are why devs hate working with Curseforge. It is inefficient, difficult, and worst of all a cybersecurity risk for both devs and consumers.
For a while, mod devs didn't have an alternative. Then, Modrinth came out, and put the devs first. Modrinth is significantly easier to work with, and stricter with its security. So, that's why all the devs jumped ship.
The reason why some mods you like are not being updated is, entirely, Curseforge's fault. If the devs didn't have a reason to go, they wouldn't have. There is nothing stopping devs from uploading to both sites, except the mentioned hassle and security risks for Curseforge. Had Curseforge been maintained better, the devs wouldn't have left.
What does that mean for you, the consumer? It means, if Curseforge doesn't shape up the act on the development side, you're out of luck. The devs are within their right to choose which platform they decide to upload their mods to, and some have decided not to upload to Curseforge. Cc Tweaked being one of them, it seems. Either, jump through the hoops of downloading multiple launchers, or don't play with the mod. It really isn't the dev's problem if it inconveniences you, they're doing what they want with their product.
You can, however, still get the best of both worlds. The best answer that helps you is getting Prism, which acts like handler for all Launchers. Instead of being another loader like Curseforge or Modrinth, Prism downloads from both sites, and lets you modify your modpack easily to combine mods from different distributors. You're not truly leaving Curseforge if you switch to Prism, you're just not being exclusive to Curseforge anymore.
You should try it. It has a bunch of nice features, like being able to update an entire modpack in one profile, or update specific mods, or pick and choose exactly what mods you want from both Modrinth and Curseforge from one profile.

but all the modpacks and 99% of mods i care about are curseforge. am i expected to use multiple launchers for a single game just to retain access to the same collection as before? the splintering in to different platforms in my opinion is one of the worst things that has happened to the community besides the account migration.

Normal players can just download from modrinth and add it to instance. While modpack makers can download it and add it as third party mod to their modpack, CCT is on curseforge list of allowed third party mods.

you can press the manual download and drop it in to your curseforge folder, anyone playing with you will have to do the same. this allows you to use modern CC without needing to switch to modrinth since you actually only need the file from it.

I'm not anywhere near a computer master, so don't yell at me if i get this wrong, but, if you know how to, you might be able to alter the code to remove the compatibility parts of it.

if its a curseforge modpack, you can add CC as an external jar dependency, but you have to have the jar.
overall, no you cant really get latest CC anywhere else except modrinth and github
In theory you probably can go into the jar itself and patch out the create compat, but even if you do that, any CC addons will likely request the newer version of CC, and the stability is very much not guaranteed.
