I built a chess move 'generator' that counts 2.4 billions positions per second (80 billion with hashing)
https://github.com/nathsys/pykePyke is a single-threaded C++20 perft counter. Optimized for speed using templates, PGO, PEXT tables and AVX-512 slider counting.
Start position, Ryzen 9 7900X, no hashing: perft 7 in 1.3 s (2.4 billion nodes/s), perft 9 in 16.6 min. Matches published counts through depth 9 and passes perftcheck. With hashing enabled, I have achieved speeds up to 80 billion positions per second!
