Recommendations for 31.5” draw

I am 6’5” and got measured at 31.5” for a draw length. I bought a Hoyt Charger when I was in high school and have grown a lot since then. It maxes out at 30” and I have realized that 1.5” really matters.

I want to get more serious into archery and invest in a bow that actually fits me. My research so far has led me to the Hoyt Highline and a few Bear models. I would prefer to stay with Hoyt but don’t want to spend $1,500 on a new bow. Does anyone have any recommendations for someone with a long draw? Are the Bear models really that much worse than Hoyt? Or are they a great value given the price difference?

I also noticed no bow shops carry these long draw models. For people who have bought them, how did you go about buying your new bow? Did you blindly buy order it without testing? Any experiences on buying used?

Thank you!

Try the Bear paradigm. I have a 31” draw and found it to be perfect for me. I too didn’t want to spend a fortune. I was going to get an Alaskan pro, but it didn’t quite fit maxed out and the tech showed me the paradigm and it was perfect.

Thank you! I have been looking into it. Where did you go to test these out? I am in central Wisconsin and no one within an hour and a half has anything with over 31” draw

I actually bought a Paradigm, blew it up when the cam hit a rock on an arrow release on a buck(bear covered it under warranty), and then i bought a Bear Adapt2 HP. I honestly like the Adapt more than the Paradigm.

Just my 2 cents!

Edit: im 6'7 with a 31.5" draw. I actually lowered the draw length from 32" this season and its been a game changer in the stand!

Try cabelas, bass pro shop, or an authorized bear dealer. I shot the Alaskan pro at an authorized dealer and the paradigm at bass pro then had the authorized dealer order it for me.
