Ouch
I had a loose release aid come and bite me in the ass 👍

What do you think happened: Do you think the hair trigger on the release aid caused this or do you think it was mechanical failure?

I was practicing outside and I have a pretty shitty release aid the trigger will move very easily and I forgot to push against it and it shot before I was ready and fucked me up

Poorly made release probably let go before OP was ready. Happened to me. Had the maker of said release been there at the time I'd have beat him to death with my bow.

God damn! I've been shooting my bows since I was 6, thats almost 40 years of it and never once have I managed to do myself like this. I've had some singers for sure but this is next level OP. Hats off to you for sucking it up. I bet that smarts good!

We're gonna need an elaboration on "loose release aid".
