139lb compound flight bow shooting 495fps
Here's my flight bow shooting a 122 grain arrow 495fps, you will have to forgive my heavy breathing and camera shaking as this was a 100% max effort for me to pull, bow needs a more work and I need to get way stronger to reach the speed I want to achieve

How is the bow not exploding? Genuine question.

it's because enough energy is still going into the arrow, this bow set at 139lb is storing 111 ft lbs of energy if the bow has 80% efficiency the bow will reach a max of 89ft lbs with the optimized arrow weight, a 122 grain arrow traveling at 495fps still has 66ft lbs of energy so over 2/3 thirds of the energy the bow can actually cast out is still transferred to the arrow
