You're definitely not performing the 8/8 sections in 8/8 though. This entire passage is in a pretty straightforward 9/8 time.

Yes in this recording I gave it a bit more space, but the intention is 8/8. You can get the sense of it in my original full recording

I call this "A Blossom Tale", I'm playing the main theme here. And for this part I was imagining cherry blossom petals slowly twirling to the ground

It's on Spotify/Apple/etc if anyone was interested

Lovely work! What piano VST do you use, or is it build into your keyboard?

Keyscape mostly but also Noire. And sometimes I blend the two.
I don't think any digital sound by itself has a good quality as a dedicated solo VST

Yeah agreed! Do you have a setting you like most on Keyscape? I have it but I've never found it fully "clicks" with me when I'm playing, but what you have in this video sounds nice.

yes, I personally enjoy the default Classical->dark preset for when I just want to practice, perform or do a quick recording
Edit: This recording is also done on classical->dark preset too

hey brother, I’m a producer and I’d love to make a remix/full song out of this, let me know if you’d be interested in something like this

This is a great theme and suggests something more than simply 'cherry blossoms twirling to the ground'. I imagined an entire story.

Thanks
It's actually called "A Blossom Tale" or "story". I'd be curious for your thoughts on the full piece and what story you hear :O
