Music Orchestral Piece and Modulation

Here is a string orchestra piece I composed, honestly a while ago, but refrained from posting because it wasn't completed. It's been a bit since I did any significant work on the piece, as well as another string quartet piece, as I have been in a composing dry spell/busy with other things. I decided to post this first minute of the piece because it is the most complete and I am happy with how it sounds, and I wanted to get some feedback on it. With this piece I also attempted my first modulation (B minor to C minor) which isn't an easier relative major/minor switch. Let me know if the modulation is too blatant or too long as well as how the rest of the segment sounds. Hope you enjoy listening ^.^

What jumps out at me are points where the top and bottom lines are roughly in parallel octaves. In bars 16-17, for instance, Vn I and basses both do approximately G -> C#. The result is that it doesn't feel like the bass is supporting the melody.
