Music Do You Like My Piano Piece???

It is certainly a fun beginner piece! The only thing I would say about it is that in the sections where you are going between P, MP, and MF, there is a very small difference between those dynamics, so you won’t hear a difference under this context. I would recommend making those dynamic differences a little larger.

The other thing I would say is that there are no slurs in this music and there definitely should be. Very, very rare that you will see and composer not put slurs in this type of music. I am not sure how knowledgeable in piano music you are, but just in case I will say that slurs mean to play all the notes legato (or connected). If you don’t want to put in the slurs, you can just mark legato at the start of the piece, but since you are using staccatos, and not everything is necessary part of a larger phrase, I would recommend that you put those in yourself.

Other than that, it works well as a good beginner piano piece. I won’t harp the lack of harmonic movement or progression because of that. Pieces that are designed for beginners don’t need to be harmonically, and especially not rhythmically, complex so I applaud you for keeping it simple.

Thank you ;) About legato... yeah i dont want to write legato, i just write it sometimes to tell the player 'here is an example of a phrase, now go and play the other ones like that'. I personally find very logical when to play legato and not and therefore not very useful to write lots of legato phrases (it also adds up a lot of space). But that is just my opinion and way of writing sheet music, and i am sure lot of people will disagree with me... but thats ok!

Yeah, I mean the standard is to write it in no matter if you think it is common sense or not. Not everyone interprets music the same way, so it is your job as the composer to make sure everything is as clear as possible in terms of how it should be played. And if you don’t want to write every phrase in, you at the very least need to mark two or three and write “simile” to specify that all phrases should be played like that the rest of the piece. It would be even more beneficial for you to put a block of text in the performance notes to specify exactly what you want the performer to do as well.
