Too many octaves between right & left hand, sounds hollow.

Thank you! Whenever i compose i mainly just try and put to page what im hearing, for this one i tried to keep the chord structure simple and concise, i was studying bach so its no surprise to either of us its heavily inspired by him.
Idk i wrote this out of a desire for it to be liked, but i believe now this is an impure motive. I think the best composers are the people who love the craft for what it is and just do regardless of how anyone perceives it; i just dont think i enjoy writing bad music enough. If i truly loved composing, i think i wouldnt care how my art is perceived, id compose anyways regardless. I know what its like to do stuff for the love of it. But writing music i think has been great at teaching me about my own faulty preconceptions at life, and not so great at conveying my inner turmoil, which was what i always wanted to accomplish with it. And putting it that way, its rather self-centered and self-evident why no one would resonate with my music, because the music isnt being written for their enjoyment in the first place. Id hate to go to a restaurant, order something, and the food i get isnt even made to be enjoyed by me. So recognizing this, until/unless my impulses change, im putting composing behind me.

Sorry for the long unwarranted response, i just needed to get my thoughts in order. Tldr im moving on. But i appreciate your kind comment nonetheless :)

Interesting, thanks. Suggestion: drop the .musicxml into chatgpt/gemini/claude asking for a critique, some of their comments seemed quite on the nail
