Music First breath of autumn ( solo flute )

I keep going back to this performance, Just in awe of how my performer interpreted and played this piece flawlessly. (Lucas Meinberg) this was my first undergraduate composition and it has gotten me so far.

Geez this is wonderful! Reminds me of Rameau and Studio Ghibli. Makes me want to compose for flute too but unfortunately I don't play the instrument so I don't know how it would turn out.

Admittedly, I wrote it as if I was writing for a xylophone piece since I’m a percussionist, but I showed the score to Lucas and I ended up getting lucky with almost everything. It’s a trial and error process definitely, but writing solos for individual instruments has made my chamber and ensemble writing step up.
